Agri – accounting

Bookkeeping and accounting
Preparation of sole proprietorship and company monthly, quarterly, annual or other intermittent period financial statements, adequately reviewed for compliance with generally accepted and international accounting standards.

We prefer to commence (at the least), at trial balance stage and recommend that clients should have in-house capacity for data capture of daily transactions. We are however able to offer our support and assistance where in-house capacity is lacking.

Business performance reviews
To ascertain whether a business is producing optimum anticipated results using the resources available to it.  It covers performance, efficiency and utilization levels, corporate and business planning, reporting standards, governance and stakeholder satisfaction.


Business plans and research proposals

New business plans and research proposals incorporating projected manufacturing and operational budgets, market surveys, and feasibility reports.

Business valuations
The valuation of existing businesses for disposal or acquisition purposes, using defined and acceptable methods.

We maintain a database of potential purchasers or investors in businesses.

Capacity building

We train and develop individual and institutional capacity in all facets of business.

Capital raising

We assist with raising capital for re-capitalisation or new projects. We maintain relationships with a mix of investors and financing institutions.

Company secretarial work

Sale of shelf companies, company searches, formation and regulations. Share capital changes, annual returns, changes in officers of companies (CR14s) and any other requirements of the Registrar of Companies.

Corporate finance

We assist with capital structures, private placements, preparation of information circulars and prospectus.

Due diligence exercises

The undertaking of top level or detailed assessment of existing companies or entities, to confirm or otherwise, the corporate, financial, accounting or operational information for use by shareholders, prospective buyers or other interested parties in mergers or acquisitions.

Estate planning and deceased estates

Estate planning for individuals with diversified asset portfolios to ensure wealth creation and preservation, that death duties are managed, there are no post–death family squabbles, and operating entities continue in perpetuity.

This includes the creation of Trusts, preparation of Trust Deeds and explaining the ethos of Trusts.

It also includes the preparation, handling and submission of deceased estate accounts to the Master of the High Court.

Human capital assessments and skills audit
We confidentially review and critique management structures and incumbents, and assess adequacy and appropriateness of human capital in an organisation, with emphasis and bias to financial, accounting and managerial related positions.

Tax advice, and compliance planning
Tax planning for individuals and corporates as well as management of the relationships with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority.  Ensuring all tax files are up – to – date and all tax obligations are correctly scheduled and discharged.

Preparation of tax computations, completion of tax returns and submission thereof to ZIMRA.  This is applicable to the various tax heads; income tax, withholding taxes, capital gains tax, etc.

Recruitment for senior operations, financial and general management positions in English speaking Africa and its diaspora.

Restructuring and turnaround strategies
Assisting struggling and distressed businesses to identify weaknesses, operational problems, and remaining strengths and opportunities that can be built upon in turning around the fortunes of the business.
